Who doesn’t like ice cream? The warm weather is almost here (finally), prompting many consumers to seek out a local ice cream shop to satisfy their craving.
The latest Ad-ology Research survey of more than 12,000 adults in the United States found that during a typical week, 2.2% of consumers visit an ice cream shop more than 5 times in a week; 3.4% visit 4-5 times a week; and 5.8% drop by their favorite establishment 2-3 times a week.
According to an AdMall report, a little over a third (34.2%) have children between the ages of 5 and 9 at home; slightly less than a third (32.9%) have teens at home.
More highlights from the report: 68.3% of ice cream shop customers live in urban areas; only 22% live in the suburbs 42.4% of these consumers started an online search because of a coupon they saw 85.2% of ice cream shop customers try to support companies that sponsor a favorite sports team or athlete 55.6% of this audience participates on Twitter.
If price and product are the same, 51.9% of ice cream shop customers prefer to buy from a locally-owned business.
